The Busser plays an essential role in ensuring a clean and welcoming dining environment at Chimiking Restaurant. They are responsible for clearing tables once diners have finished their meals, and assisting in cleaning and setting tables, maintaining stock of the dining area and assisting waitstaff with other tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clear tables promptly after diners have finished their meals.
- Clean and sanitize table tops, chairs, and booths, and reset tables for the next service.
- Assist in washing dishes, glassware, and other utensils.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, waiting area, and restrooms.
- Restock necessary items in the dining area such as napkins, salt, pepper, and other condiments.
- Assist waitstaff with delivering food and beverages to tables as needed.
- Help with sweeping, mopping, and cleaning the dining area and kitchen.
- Empty trash cans and ensure the disposal areas are clean and maintained.
- Comply with all health and food safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Assist with opening/closing tasks and side work as needed.
- Previous experience as a Busser, Dishwasher or in a similar entry-level role is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
- A team player with good communication skills.
- Physical stamina to lift and carry heavy items and stand for long periods.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, during weekends, and holidays.
- High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
