The Dishwasher is a crucial part of the kitchen staff, ensuring the cleanliness and availability of cookware, utensils, and dishware required for food preparation and dining. At Chimiking Restaurant, the Dishwasher helps maintain a clean kitchen, promotes sanitary practices, and enables the efficient operation of the restaurant.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashers or by hand.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area, following health and safety guidelines.
- Sort and stack clean dishes; carry clean dishes to proper storage areas.
- Remove trash and clear kitchen garbage containers.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors, and clean walls, coolers, and storage areas.
- Assist with unloading and storing deliveries as needed.
- Report any maintenance or hazard issues to the supervisor.
- Follow all restaurant policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
- Assist other kitchen staff and work together as a team.
- Carry out basic cleaning tasks around the premises, including emptying trash cans, cleaning drink machines, and cleaning any spills and broken glass immediately.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen and food prep areas.
- No formal education or previous work experience is required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Ability to follow instructions and operate cleaning equipment and machinery.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment and stand for extended periods.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
